The Billesley Curriculum is designed to promote a thirst for knowledge and a passion for learning. We hope to create an excitement for learning, to inspire our children to succeed and for all our children to achieve excellence.

The Billesley Curriculum thrives on meeting the individual needs of all our pupils through our tailored, concept-based approach to delivery. We carefully observe and listen to our children and then plan suitable, relevant and exciting learning opportunities which equip our children to become responsible and proactive global citizens who understand and value the contribution they can make to society. Our curriculum reflects our community, our children’s needs and the world that we live in - and this is ever evolving. Because of this, we reflect together and plan carefully so that there are opportunities to revisit knowledge, skills and concepts regularly so that children are embedding their learning into their long-term memory. Through our P4C (philosophy for children) approach, children learn to question the world around them, show independence of mind, challenge their peers and show respect for the opinions of others.

Children at Billesley have access to a wide range of opportunities in their time at our school such as: rich, arts-based experiences with artists and creative partners; exciting and meaningful school trips linked to their learning; access to a wide variety of extra-curricular clubs and activities; and regular opportunities to participate in a range of sports inside and outside of school.
